How you're wired, and what it means at an early-stage company.
A Big Five personality test for senior hires. 50 questions, about seven minutes. Your answers stay in your browser unless you choose to send them to me.
What this is, and what it isn't.
This is the 50-question version of the Big Five from the International Personality Item Pool, a public set of questions used widely in research. The Big Five is the model most psychologists use: extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness.
What I've added is the reading: what each result tends to look like in a senior role at a 15 to 50 person company, and how it can show up under pressure. That part is my judgement from hiring and placing execs, not science.
It isn't a clinical or validated hiring assessment like Hogan or Saville, and I don't use it to screen anyone. Your scores show where you sit on each scale, not how you compare with other people. Once enough people have added their results anonymously, I'll add that comparison.
Describe yourself as you generally are now, not as you'd like to be.

Your results
Your Big Five profile.
Each score runs from 10 to 50. Low, middle and high are thirds of that scale, not a comparison with other people. No end of any scale is better than another: what matters is the fit with the role and the company.
Two optional extras.
Nothing has been saved or sent. Both of these are your choice.
1. Add your scores to the research, anonymously.
Only your five scores, function and level are saved, with no name, email or IP address. I'll use them to publish how execs in different roles compare.
2. Send your results to me.
If you're open to senior roles at consumer startups, send me your profile and I'll read it alongside your experience. It comes to me only and isn't shared with anyone.
